Introduction

DentistMK.co.uk is the online home to our group of dental surgeries and a specialist centre based in the county of Buckinghamshire. The majority of our practices are located in Milton Keynes, however we do have practices in Bletchley and Olney. We currently provide Private, CDP, Pay as You Go treatment at all our practices and NHS* and Private, CDP, Pay as You Go treatment to patients at Walnut Dental Centre.

NHS Information

Due to the changes within the NHS from 1st April 2011 there has been a new pricing structure introduced. Patients will be asked to pay one of three amounts £17.00, £47.00 £204.00 depending on how complex your treatment plan is. Detailed information can be found here.

Most people assume NHS dental treatment is FREE, however this is only true if a patient is exempt. The following reasons are currently recognised by the NHS for exemption:
Children Under the age of 18 - Full Time Students aged 18 - Women who are Pregnant or who have had a baby within the last 12 months - Income Support - Income-based Job Seekers Allowance - Pension Credit Guarantee Credit - HC2 & NHS Tax Credit Exemption Certificate - People with HC2 certificates. (Please Note: You will be asked for proof of your exemption on arrival to the dental practice)

PLEASE NOTE: The NHS has changed the requirements for dental care. Patients are no longer REGISTERED on or with the NHS. Each practice is allocated a number of units that may be completed. Once the allocated units have been used, the booking of NHS appointments will be CLOSED. - Booking a check-up does NOT mean you are registered.
